“Summer in the City” solo show at Caldwell Snyder Gallery

My first solo show in San Francisco opened on Thursday August 2 at Caldwell Snyder gallery (link) and it will be on until the end of the month. My paintings look wonderful in such a gorgeous environment and I can't feel happier and prouder when I see my works through the gallery window, framed by such a beautiful façade.

The paintings are the result of many months of work and of many travels as well: I have represented sun bathers in Basel, bikers in the streets of Málaga and Valencia, passers-by along the Seine and along the streets of Córdoba...  people that I have encountered during my leisure time, therefore the sunny and festive air of the works and the resulting title: "Summer in the city".

Follow this link for more pictures of the show.

The show will be open until the end of August at Caldwell Snyder Gallery, 341 Sutter Street, San Francisco.

Market Art + Design Hamptons, July 5 – 8, 2018

My works are shown at the Market Art + Design Hamptons (link), contemporary art fair that takes place at The Bridgehampton Museum in the Hamptons (NY) on July 5 - 8, 2018. The fair's eighth edition features 75 top galleries from around the world.

Solo Show at Caldwell Snyder Gallery, San Francisco

I am super excited to announce that this summer I’ll be presenting my first solo show at Caldwell Snyder Gallery (link) in San Francisco, California. I’ve been working very hard this winter on new paintings specifically for this show. The paintings in general have a summer air, with sunbathers and bikers enjoying the weather, and characters walking through empty spaces full of light and color.

This past spring some of my paintings were shown at Caldwell Snyder Gallery at their Saint Helena location in Napa Valley (Image shown below).

Caldwell Snyder Gallery 10 year anniversary Group Show

I recently started working with a new gallery in California. Caldwell Snyder Gallery (link) has been exhibiting the works of fabulous artists in San Francisco for nearly 35 years. Its second location in Santa Helena (Napa Valley) celebrates its 10 year anniversary this month and has organized a show with the works that the gallery's artists have created specifically for the occasion (link).

My works "Viewing the World with New Eyes 1 and 1" are part of this exhibition.

Tao Hua Tan Artist Residency, Anhui, China

Tao Hua Tan Artist Residency has been an unforgettable experience. The area was beautiful, the food delicious and the hosts were kind and generous. It has also been fantastic to meet and spend time with 40 artists from all around the world, literally from all 5 continents. The works produced during our stay have been and will be exhibited in different locations in the area (Hefei, XuanCheng...) and they will be part of the collection of the future Tao Hua Tan Museum of Art.

Artist Residency in China

The past months have been hectic and very busy. I have been invited to participate in the 1st Tao Hua Tan International Artist Retreat and Painting Residence in China, and I needed to finish some works and prepare material for the trip before leaving today.

I am very excited to join this adventure!
